Privacy Policy
What we collect, what we deliberately don't, and your rights over your data. Short version: account basics and sign-in history only — your screen content never leaves your device.
1. Overview
This policy explains how Depthonix ("we") collects and uses personal data when you use our website, account system, and application, in line with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and other applicable law.
2. Data we collect
We collect only what the service needs to function:
- ›Account data — name, email address, nationality, and your password (stored only as a secure hash, never in readable form).
- ›Sign-in and device history — sign-in events, platform (macOS/Windows), a hashed device identifier, IP address, and timestamps, used for security and the one-active-device license rule.
- ›Messages you send us — if you contact support, we keep the correspondence to help you.
- ›Aggregate website analytics — a simple count of how many times each page is viewed, and how many times the app was downloaded for each platform (macOS / Windows). Both are fully anonymous: we do not store your IP address, device, account, or any identifier alongside them, so these numbers can never be linked back to you — not even for the downloads, which you make while signed in.
3. Data we deliberately do NOT collect
We do not track individual usage behavior — we don't record which features you use, what you watch, or build any per-person profile of how you use the app. The only website statistics we keep are the anonymous, aggregate page-view and per-platform download counts described in section 2, which hold no personal data. We never record which account downloaded the app.
Everything you convert to 3D — your screen content, videos, images — is processed entirely on your device. It is never stored by us, never uploaded, and never transmitted to anyone.
4. Why we use your data
- ›To provide your account, trial, and license entitlements.
- ›To secure the service and prevent abuse (for example, enforcing the one-active-device rule).
- ›To send service emails only — verification, password reset, and important account notices. We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
6. Payments
Payments are handled by a secure third-party payment provider. Your full card details go to the provider directly — we never see or store them. The provider processes your payment data under its own privacy policy.
8. Storage and security
Your data is stored with reputable cloud providers. Passwords are stored only as strong one-way hashes, two-factor secrets are encrypted at rest, and access to production data is limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we design for the minimum data footprint — what we never collect can never leak.
9. Retention
We keep your data while your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, except records we must keep to comply with legal obligations.
10. Your rights
Under the PDPA and applicable law, you have the right to:
- ›Access and receive a copy of your personal data.
- ›Correct inaccurate data (your profile page covers most of this).
- ›Request deletion of your data and account.
- ›Withdraw consent, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC).
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the effective date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be announced on the website.
